Travel Tins have a burn time of - approx 36 hrs. Our 3" x 4.5" Pillars have a burn time of - approx 80 hrs. Our 15 oz Hour Glass candles have a burn time of - approx 110 hrs. Palm Wax is derived from the fruit bunches of the oil palm trees. This palm oil is actually a "virgin" oil, like virgin olive oil, because it is obtained just by steaming and pressing the palm fruit. No harmful chemical or solvents are necessary, as in the production of other vegetable waxes, like Soy Wax. Palm Wax naturally contains materials that are similar to those in essential oils. The fragrances and the wax easily dissolve in one another. This is not true of petroleum or soy based candles, where the fragrance does not combine well with the wax and tends to "sweat" out of the candle. This particular property of Palm Wax allows us, when compared to other candles, to more than double the scent concentration in the candles. They also do NOT contain any harmful petrochemicals like ordinary paraffin candles. Because of this, the candles burn almost soot and smoke free.
